David Muir is an American journalist and anchor who is best known for his ABC newscast World News Tonight with David Muir and for the ABC News magazine 20/20 for which he's an anchor and co-anchor. With its animated gestures and shocking videos of celeb gossip, his show has become America's top newscast. He is also known for the Emmy-nominated show Made In America. He was the principal substitute anchor of the show's predecessor Diane Sawyer before taking over ABC World News Tonight. His maintime reporting to ABC News include Breaking Point: Heroin in America, Flashpoint The Refugee Crisis in America. He has covered news around the globe, including in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He's been awarded numerous Emmy Awards Edward R.
