Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. She also sings. She was raised by her mother, within the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist remarks and felt unloved. When she went to school contests and received great praise for her performance, in ninth grade the young girl started to feel more confident. This not only increased her confidence but her dreams were changed. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her role as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater appreciation. The actress is also a renowned performer and has published an extended version of her play. Also, she is a campaigner and has been active for LGBT rights.
